Word Family Tree

We have a spelling test each week and our spelling tests consist of words from the word family of that particular week. We discuss how if you can spell one word with that ending you can spell any word that uses that ending. It can also help you with reading because you can use those word endings as chunks that you already know the sound to and no longer have to sound out each individual sound. This is the word family tree I have made and displayed in the hall way. Each week I  Place the new word family on a leaf and add it to the tree!
